Two men involved in the violent burglary of Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner at their Paris home have been sentenced to prison.

Ilyas Kherbouch, 21, described as the mastermind of the burglary, was sentenced to nine years in prison and fined €80,000.

His co-defendant, Moktar D., received a five-year prison sentence, with two years suspended subject to probation.

A third defendant, Khyan M., was acquitted after prosecutors accused him of helping orchestrate the robbery from prison.

Donnarumma and his then-fiancée, Alessia Elefante, were attacked and held at knifepoint by masked men who broke into their luxury apartment in July 2023.

Donnarumma was beaten during the robbery, while Elefante was choked with a cable and later suffered a miscarriage reportedly linked to the trauma.

The attackers escaped with cash, jewellery, watches and luxury bags valued at almost €1 million.

Donnarumma was playing for Paris Saint-Germain at the time before moving to Manchester City in 2025.
