In entertainment, Nigeria has recorded another historic win on the global pageantry stage as Oma Osele emerged as Miss Continental World 2026.
Osele was crowned at the grand finale in Ayutthaya, Thailand, defeating delegates from around the world to claim the ultimate title.
India’s Shreeya Panda finished as 1st Runner-Up.
The Nigerian queen swept the victory, having earlier won two major special awards before the crowning night: Queen of Africa for the highest-placing African delegate and Best National Attire for the most outstanding cultural costume.
Her journey to the crown gained momentum in September, when she won the World Premiere Award after leading the global fan vote and finishing ahead of India’s Monica Konjengbam and Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju.
Osele’s triumph adds to Nigeria’s strong run in international pageantry, following recent feats including Chidimma Adetshina’s 1st Runner-Up finish at Miss Universe 2024.
