The Executive Chairman of Uhunmwonde Local Government Council, Hon. Austin Imafidon fondly called Isiwina has felicitated with the people of Uhunmwonde, Edo State and Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The Chairman described the anniversary as another opportunity for citizens to reflect on the nation’s journey, celebrate its resilience and renew their collective commitment to peace, unity and sustainable development.
Hon. Imafidon said his administration remains firmly committed to consolidating the foundation of development laid since he assumed office as Acting Chairman of Uhunmwonde Local Government Area a year ago.
He stated that the progress recorded in infrastructure, road rehabilitation, education, staff welfare, security, healthcare, youth empowerment, environmental improvement and community development has strengthened the administration’s resolve to do even more in its renewed mandate.
Hon. Imafidon called on the people of Uhunmwonde to continue to embrace peace, unity, patriotism and communal cooperation, stressing that sustainable development requires the collective contribution of government and citizens.
