Abu Dhabi is revving up for Formula 1’s grand finale, with preparations racing towards the finish line as the UAE capital gets ready to welcome 11 teams for the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from December 3 to 6.
Footage filmed shows officials unveiling the latest preparations during a media briefing at Shams Tower, overlooking Yas Marina Circuit. The championship trophy is also on display, alongside sweeping views of the circuit where the 2026 season will reach its thrilling conclusion.
Organisers say preparations are in their final stages, with ticket sales already outpacing last year’s figures at the same point before the event.
The event is shifting into high gear following a record-breaking 2025 edition, which drew 339,000 fans across race week, according to organiser Ethara.
Al Noaimi also cited more than AED 1.3 billion in direct visitor spending, demonstrating the Grand Prix’s significant contribution to Abu Dhabi’s economy and tourism industry.
Behind the spectacle is a massive operation involving more than 40,000 people, including over 1,500 volunteers, more than 90 per cent of them UAE nationals, alongside over 230 local companies.
