Super Eagles of Nigeria have emerged winners of the 2025 Unity Cup following a five-four penalty shootout victory over Jamaica.

Nigeria took the lead in the ninth minute, when Wilfred Ndidi’s ball over the defence of Jamaica was met by Cyriel Dessers, who laid the ball perfectly for Moses Simon to convert.

Jamaica got the equaliser three minutes later when Renaldo Cephas beat Super Eagles right back Sodiq Ismaila for pace and put a ball across goal which was converted by Kaheim Dixon.

Samuel Chukwueze restored Nigeria’s lead after receiving the ball from Nathan Tella, beating his marker before finding the bottom corner.

Jamaica were back on level terms when Jonathan Russell met a cross down the left by Cephas and finished past Nwabali.

With nothing to separate both sides after ninety minutes, the game went to penalty shootouts, where Jamaica missed one of their penalties while Super Eagles were perfect, converting all five spot kicks.
