President Tinubu has signed the Appropriation Amendment Number four Bill, 2025, into law, extending the implementation period of the 2025 budget from September thirty, 2026 to December thirty-one, 2026.

The signing followed the amendment’s passage by the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The extension gives Ministries, Departments and Agencies more time to complete ongoing capital projects.

It also ensures that funds already appropriated are fully put to work, without disrupting critical programmes.

Before signing the bill, president Tinubu commended the leadership and members of the National Assembly for their prompt consideration of the bill.

The President described their action as a further sign of the cooperation between the executive and the legislature in the service of the nation.
