The Federal Government has commenced emergency intervention on the 125-kilometre Benin-Asaba Road, following the worsening condition of the highway and prolonged gridlock that have subjected motorists and commuters to severe hardship.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, said the intervention was in response to persistent calls from road users and communities along the strategic corridor.
