The National Working Committee (NWC) of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has suspended four national officers of the party over alleged anti-party activities.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, announced the decision on Saturday in Abuja. He said the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN; the Deputy National Legal Adviser, Barrister Okechukwu Osuoha; and the National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, have been suspended for thirty (30) days pending further investigations.
Political Correspondent Joseph Kadiri reports that the camp of Sen. Anyanwu equally held a meeting and suspended the national Chairman Umar Damagum and four others.
