Police authorities in Oyo State in conjunction with other security agencies have arrested 20 suspects over the invasion of the state government premises in Agodi, Ibadan, on Saturday.
Some weapons, ammunition, and ATMS were also recovered from the suspects.
The Public Relations Officer to Oyo State police command Mr Osifeso Adewale said that listed items Precovered from the Hoodlums to include two hundred and ninety-one life cartridges, two expended cartridges, sixty-seven cutlasses, five bulletproof vest, six pair of boots, and ten public address system
Other items were three Oodua styles beret caps, seven belts, eleven Oodua Nation army camouflage uniforms, one unregistered Nissan Urban Caravan bus and three TVs motor motorcycles
Mr Osifeso Adewale said the invaders are suspected members of the Yoruba Nation group and declared the attack as criminal and unpatriotic, a clear case of treasonable felony and terrorism which would be met with adequate sanctions under the laws of the land.
According to the police, investigations have been launched into the matter.
