The leadership of the Benin Solidarity, BSM Movement Worldwide, says its attention has been drawn to a pictorial Invitation titled *”Coronation Ceremony of His Royal Majesty in Okpella”* being circulated online and offline.
In a statement, signed by the President of BSM, Comrade Curtis Ugbo, and Secretary, Comrade Austin Okuonghae, says there are only two Kingdoms in the World, namely the *Benin Kingdom* and the *United Kingdom*.
The statement explains that there is only one Royal Majesty in Edo State, who is the *Oba of Benin Kingdom.*
The statement stated that members of the organization of Benin Kingdom origin see this as abnormal, which should be corrected immediately, as they will not allow the Ancestral Culture and Tradition to be taken for granted like a fairy tale.
The Benin Solidarity Movement warned those propagating this heinous act as any form of rubbishing the Traditional Institutions for their selfish gains will not be tolerated.
The group called on the Benin Traditional Council, Oba Palace, and the Edo State Government to look into the matter critically and correct the perception of the public.
