The National Union of Electricity Employees on Monday embarked on an indefinite strike, shutting down all BEDC formations across the zone over allegations bordering on the inability of the management to meet their demands—non-payment, non-payment of increases to the minimum wage adjustment, overbilling, and unjustified increases in tariffs—which have painted the workers in a bad light.
Clarence Jegede reports that the strike has resulted in a total power outage in Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti states under BEDC
The report is presented by Efosa Uwangue.
