Nigeria’s Super Falcons will look to secure a place in the third round of the African qualifying series for the 2028 Olympic Women’s Football Tournament when they take on Comoros at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne today.

The 10-time African champions head into the second-leg encounter with a two-nil advantage, courtesy of goals from defender Michelle Alozie and forward Uchenna Kanu.

Comoros’ lack of a Confederation of African Football (CAF)-approved venue for international matches has meant both legs were played in Nigeria, with the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne hosting both encounters.

The Super Falcons aim to secure a second consecutive appearance at the Olympic Games after returning to the women’s football tournament at Paris 2024, which marked their first Olympic appearance in 16 years.

The aggregate winner of the tie will advance to the third qualifying round, where they will face Morocco in March 2027.
