Victims of the January 11th, 2026, Ekpoma Fire incident have again renewed their appeal to Edo State government and other relevant authorities to rescue them from possible bankruptcy as a result of the inferno, which consumed over twenty-five shops along with their goods.

Edo Central Correspondent, Chris Omijie, reports that the block of twenty-five shops, which the Governor, Monday Okpebholo, promised to rebuild is at an advanced stage of completion.
