The Odionwere and Elders-in-Council of Utekon Community, acting on the directive of the Palace of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Ewuare Sechave, announced the appointment of Mr. Innocent Iserienrien as the new Okaighele of Utekon Community.
According to a statement signed by the Odionwere of Utekon Community, Pa Peter Agbontaen, the appointment, which is in line with the Oba’s directive, is aimed at fast-tracking the socio-economic development of the community.
The statement explained that the announcement was made to set the record straight and formally inform the general public of the new leadership.
The Odionwere and Elders-in-Council also urged members of the public who intend to engage in any land transactions within the community to contact the Odionwere directly.
This, they noted, would ensure that all dealings are conducted transparently and legitimately.
The appointment of Mr. Innocent Iserienrien as the new Okaighele is expected to inject fresh momentum into the community’s development efforts. In his role, he is expected to work closely with the Odionwere and other stakeholders to promote peace, progress, and prosperity in Utekon Community.
Pa Agbontaen concluded by stating that the community looks forward to the new Okaighele’s leadership and vision, expressing confidence that his appointment will usher in a new era of peace, growth, and development in Utekon Community.
