New Tottenham boss, Thomas Frank, won his first Premier League match in charge of the side as they beat newly promoted Burnley three-nil.
Brazil forward, Richarlison, scored the first league goal in the Thomas Frank era when he controlled a shot on the turn after only ten minutes, following excellent work on the right from Mohammed Kudus on his Spurs league debut following his summer move from West Ham.
The two linked up again for Spurs’ second, Kudus hanging up a cross from the byeline and Richarlison acrobatically volleying it in.
It got even better for Tottenham as Pape Matar Sarr played through Brennan Johnson to race clear and provide a clinical finish.
In other games, Newcastle United were held to a goalless draw by ten-man Aston Villa, newly promoted side, Sunderland, beat West Ham United three-nil, while Brighton and Fulham settled for a one-all draw.
