The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, says President Bola Tinubu has prioritised the well-being of Nigerian children and remains committed to long-term investments that will shape their future.
Senator Bagudu stated this at the UNICEF World Children’s Day celebration held Thursday in Abuja.
His comments follow Monday’s abduction of students from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State. He assured that despite Nigeria’s ongoing security and economic challenges, the nation’s children still face a promising future.
He called for prayers for the abducted students and other children in captivity worldwide, urging global leaders to treat child abductions as an attack on humanity that requires united action.
Also speaking, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, emphasized that respecting and protecting children’s rights is essential to building a fair and compassionate society.
