The Member representing Ovia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the mother of Edo State Deputy Governor, Denis Idahosa.
The Deputy Governor’s mother, Mrs. Esther Idahosa, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.
In a condolence message, Honourable Omosede Igbinedion described the late matriarch as a woman of virtue, faith, and remarkable strength, whose life had a positive impact on those around her.
She noted that the deceased lived an honourable and fulfilled life, raising a family rooted in strong values and service to society, while leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations.
The federal lawmaker also commiserated with the Deputy Governor of Edo State and the entire Idahosa family, praying that they find the strength and comfort needed to bear the loss.
She further offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
