Commercial activities were temporarily grounded for several hours on Tuesday in Ekpoma, the administrative headquarters of Esan West Local Government Area, Edo State, as residents and shop owners trooped out in large numbers to protest the rising cases of kidnapping which have rendered the town almost deserted.
Edo Central Correspondent, Chris Omijie, reports that the ever-busy Ekpoma Market Square was barricaded as the protest lasted.
