Renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has passed away at the age of ninety-four (94).

The news was confirmed by his long-time aide, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid, who announced the passing of the Kano-based billionaire in a heartfelt message, adding that burial arrangements would be announced in due course.

Born on May 19th, 1931, Dantata was a descendant of the influential Dantata family and son of Alhaji Alhassan Dantata, one of West Africa’s wealthiest merchants in the early 20th century.

He was widely respected for his immense contributions to commerce, Islamic scholarship, education, and humanitarian causes.
