The need for citizens to pay their taxes in order for government to carry out its constitutional responsibilities firmly formed the crux of an inaugural lecture held at the University of Benin, delivered by professor of accounting and taxation Offiafor Eiya during the three hundred and forty-sixth series of the University of Benin.
Efosa Uwangue reports that the inaugural lecture by the professor on the theme “Unwilling to die, yet desirous of heaven said taxpayers’ non-compliant behavior and the quest for economic development” is unacceptable.
