Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, says recent breakthroughs in the nation’s security operations are proof that the government is intensifying efforts to protect citizens across the country.

In a statement on Sunday, the President confirmed that all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued, following coordinated operations by security forces. He also announced that 51 students earlier kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State have been successfully recovered.

President Tinubu, who cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to oversee security efforts, says he is receiving continuous updates from the frontline.

He vowed that his administration “will not relent,” insisting that every Nigerian has the right to safety and that under his leadership, the nation will be secured and its people protected.
