A presidential aspirant in the 2023 general election and Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Momodu’s resignation was contained in a letter dated July 17, 2025 and addressed to the Chairman of the PDP Ward 4, Ihievbe, in the Owan East Local Government Area, Edo State.
The veteran journalist cited the hijack of the PDP by anti-democratic forces as the reason for his resignation.
He disclosed that he would join the opposition coalition floated on the ADC platform to unseat President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election.
Earlier in July, Momodu accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of being a mole in the PDP, having worked for the APC in the 2023 presidential election despite being in the PDP.
