Chairman, Osamudiamen Osarenkhoe and Secretary Magdalene Iselhure of the All Progressives Congress, Oredo Local Government Chaper, Edo state have reacted to a media report credited to a group , “Oredo Local Government All Progressives Congress Concerned Group” where they tried to smear the name of the Secretary of the APC, Edo state Chapter, Engineer Lawrence Okah.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary says Engineer Lawrence Okah is a respected APC leader in Oredo Local Government Area and has contributed greatly to the growth of the party.
The statement explains that The leadership of APC in Oredo Local Government area views the activities of those involved in the campaign of calumny as one that is sponsored by opposition political party.
The Oredo APC leadership said members linked to the media statement coordinated by one Osamuyi Osadiaye are not known members of the APC in Oredo Local Government Area, and described them as impostors and interlopers trying to create trouble in the local government chapter of the APC.
The chairman and secetary of APC in Oredo however called on Members of the public to disregard the Press statement in its entirety as everything said by the APC members are lies.
They said Engineer Lawrence Okah is a reputable party man who has put everything humanly and constitutionally possible to ensure that APC remain the party to beat in Edo state and Nigeria as a whole.
The Oredo APC party leadership said the Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo is doing well in the state as project sites across the state and enjoined the public to continue to support Governor Okpebholo to succeed in Edo State. ⁷
The APC leadership used the opportunity to congratulate Edo Central people and those in Ovia Federal Constituency for the massive votes received during last Saturday By-Election where Hon Joe Ikpea won the Senatorial position while Hon Omosede Igbinedion won in Ovia Federal Constituency as incoming member of the Federal House of Representatives.
