The indigenous people of Oke-Oroma Community Ikpoba-okha Local Government area have received credible information about a planned attack on a community leader by a neighboring community.
The Head of Oke-Oroma Community, G. Emokpae, has announced that the community is alerting the police and other security agencies, requesting their assistance in identifying those responsible for this threat.
According to a statement,three unknown vehicles were observed near the homes of some youth leaders in the community on the evening of November 19th, 2025, monitoring their movements.
The statement added that Since October 31st, 2024, these hostile elements have reportedly been adopting guerrilla tactics causing tension.
He said the community does not know why these individuals have chosen this course of action, but they are concerned it could escalate insecurity in the area.
The situation is being linked to a neighboring community involved in unauthorized land sales, who have allegedly launched a series of attacks against Oke-Oroma.
He appealed law enforcement agencies to work discreetly to unmask those behind this threat as the community pledges to cooperate fully with security authorities to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure the safety of all residents.
