Residents turned out across Anambra State on Saturday to cast their votes in the 2025 governorship election.
Accreditation and voting began smoothly in most polling units, despite minor BVAS glitches.
Several candidates including Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Peter Obi, John Nwosu, and Nicholas Ukachukwu exercised there franchise.
Some candidates raised concerns about vote buying and urged citizens to exercise their votes responsibly.
Incumbent Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo decried incidents of vote buying reported in some polling units in Nnewi South Local Government Area .
Security was heightened across the state while the popular Onitsha Bridge was cordoned off by security agencies with no vehicular or human movement in sight.
Meanwhile, INEC has so far uploaded over 36 per cent of results from the Anambra State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal.
