Elders of Okpebor Community on Kilometre Eight Upper Airport Road, Benin City, in Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State, have expressed concern over illegal Sales of lands by some members of the public.

In a press statement signed by the Odionwere of the Community, Pa Frank Ikhure with the support of all elders called on those who have purchased land from the community to come forward with relevant documents for verification at the Oguedion as a Committee has been set up to ensure fair Judgement for all developers.

According to him, the verification exercise will last for three months, beginning from 15th July till 15th October, 2025, on Monday to Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm.

The Odionwere, Pa. Frank Ikhure reiterated that Mr Ifa Nice Akpale remains the authentic Okhaigele of Okpebor Community and expressed dismay that someone who has been parading himself as Okhaigele prompted him to report the matter to the police for investigation as the Community under his watch will not tolerate any lawlessness which includes cultism and gangsterism under any guise.

He called on those who purchased land to come forward for verification.
