Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, Pa Richard Odobo Omorogieva, and the Elders Council have announced Mr. Omoruyi Idehen as the officially recognized youth leader, known as the Okaighile of the community.
The declaration follows reports that another individual, Mr. Eric Ehigiator, was allegedly sworn in on Saturday, October 8, 2025, outside the community’s recognized meeting venue by one Mr. Clement Ehigiator — an act the elders have described as unauthorized.
Donald Ehimiyein reports that the clarification by the Odionwere prompted jubilation among the natives on Tuesday.
