There is palpable tension in the Obagie Nokenkporo community in Ikpoba-Okha, Edo State, as residents have taken to the streets to protest against the alleged discharge of industrial chemicals into the community river.
The suspected contamination has reportedly polluted the water, raising concerns about the health and safety of those who depend on the river for daily use.
