Bendel Insurance were again held to a goalless draw by Rivers United in a rescheduled Match Day 9 encounter of the NPFL at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
Despite dominating play, the Benin Arsenals failed to convert their chances, with Alex Oweilsyefa’s header hitting the woodwork and Isaac Omijie’s strike narrowly missing the target, as the visitors defended resolutely to earn a point.
Technical Manager Kennedy Boboye expressed disappointment over his team’s missed opportunities and poor conversion rate, admitting that the players underperformed in attack but remained hopeful of a turnaround before the mid-season transfer window.
The result marks Insurance’s third consecutive draw under Boboye, leaving them with one win, six draws, and four losses in eleven matches.
In another rescheduled fixture, Nasarawa United came from behind to secure a 2–1 victory over Remo Stars in Lafia.
