Public office holders have been advised to demonstrate greater dedication and embrace the spirit of selflessness in the discharge of their duties to the people.
The Global Convener of the Niger Delta Peace Ambassadors, Engineer Pedro Aghahowa, made this call during the presentation of the Niger Delta Peace Ambassador Awards in Benin City.
He stated that the essence of the awards is to appreciate and encourage individuals who have distinguished themselves through meaningful contributions to society.
According to him, the awardees were carefully selected based on their developmental strides and track records as public office holders in Nigeria.
Engineer Aghahowa explained that although 16 persons were initially nominated, only 10 met the set criteria and eventually emerged as award recipients.
