The oath of office was administered by Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo at the Osogbo City Stadium in the state capital.
While Senator Adeleke took his oath of office, his deputy, Kola Adewusi, followed suit later.
In his inaugural speech, Senator Adeleke said under his watch as the Governor of Osun State, he would correct all past injustice, corrupt acts or policies by any previous administration which are against the collective interest of the people.
He said education, health, mining sector, agriculture, road infrastructure and supply of potable water would be accorded top priority by his administration.
Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was driven round the stadium waved and acknowledged cheers from the crowd.
Dignitaries present at the well-attended event were PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate and Delta Governor, Doctor Ifeanyi, Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu; Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal; Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri; Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndidi Elumelu; former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, among others.
Others include the governor’s nephew and popular musician, Davido who made his first public appearance after his son’s death.
