The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced results from twenty local government areas in the State out of twenty-one from the results declared so far.
The All-Progressives Grand Alliance candidate, Professor Charles Soludo, has won in eleven of the eleven local government areas announced by INEC so far in the governorship poll.
The candidate of the Young Progressives Party YPP Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, won in Nnewi North local government area.
Candidates of the All-Progressives Congress APC Senator Andy Uba and the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo are yet to win in any of the results declared so far.
A breakdown of the results showed that in Dunukofia local government area, APGA scored 4,124 votes, the People`s Democratic Party had, 1,680 while the All Progressives Congress had 1,991.
In Awka South local government area, APGA polled 12,891 votes, PDP – 5,498, and APC – 2,595.
For Oyi local government area, APGA won with 6,133 votes, followed by the APC- 2,830, and PDP – 2,484, while in Ayamelum local government area, the results are as followed: APGA – 3,424, PDP- 2,804, APC – 2,409.
The collation of results continues.
There was no election in Ihiala local government area.
