A Benin High Court has refused a second application by one Mr. Imasuen Uyigue, a member of the People’s Democratic Party, seeking an order of the court to restrain twelve local government chairmen of the party from functioning as Executive of the party.
Best Mbiere reports that rather than grant or refuse the Ex-parte Motion, the trial judge, Justice Oghogho Okeaya-Ineneh ordered the lead counsel to the Claimant, who was absent during the day’s sitting to appear in court, and explain why she was misquoted in the earlier Ex-Parte Motion that the court entertained thereby causing embarrassment to her and the court.
