His Royal Majesty Ewuare the Second Oba of Benin has hosted Family Members, Journalists and Palace Chiefs to a grand Reception in celebration of the Birth of Quadruplet into the Royal Family.
The Palace of the Oba of Benin was agog with festivities because of the historic Birth of Quadruplets into the Royal family.
The Royal magnanimity of the Benin Monarch was felt in the celebration as there was enough to eat and drink.
Despite the heavy downpour, some palace functionaries who include Ewumwangba, Isekhuan Group and Ibiwe Palace Chiefs joined in the Celebration.
Speaking on behalf of the Benin monarch, Secretary to Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Erhabor said the gathering was in celebration of the Quadruplets delivered by the fifth Wife of the Oba of Benin Queen Aisosa Ewaure.
Responding on behalf of the journalists, Chairman Nigeria Union of journalists, Edo state council Sir Roland Osakue acknowledged the Oba of Benin’s magnanimity to all and sundry.
He said the Oba has shown uncommon love to his subjects, hence Journalists were invited to be part of the ceremony.
High palace chiefs headed by the Iyase of Benin chief Sam Igbe attended the event.
