FCDA Flags Off Maitama II District Infrastructure, Says Over 3000 Jobs Expected

 

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammed Bello, over the weekend, performed a ground breaking ceremony for commencement of work on the provision of Engineering Infrastructure in Maitama II District. Performing the exercise, Bello revealed that the N184 billion will open up the Federal Capital City to accommodate the increasing population of the Nation’s Capital, Abuja, when completed. As part of his legacies, the former Minister of the FCT, Mallam Muhammad Bello, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Olusade Adesola, over the weekend, commissioned the Maitama II District Infrastructure awarded by the Federal Executive Council at 184 billion Naira. The Minister says Maitama II District, which covers 780 hectares of land mass on the hills of Mpape, will have a Presidential Resort as one of the buildings to be constructed. The Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Engineer Shehu Ahmad, says the District would generate 3,200 direct and indirect skilled and unskilled jobs. The Managing Director, Dantata & Sawoe, Udo Heidschuster, urged the Community to cooperate with the Company to fast track its completion.
