The Federal Government has unveiled a new tax law aimed at modernising and consolidating the nation’s tax system into a single, clearer framework, to improve compliance, widen the tax net, and encourage investment, while protecting low-income earners.
However, residents across major cities, including Benin City, Warri, Kano, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory, say the law remains unclear to them, calling on the Federal Government to intensify public enlightenment.
