In continuation of the 2025 annual Ugie, natives of Benin have celebrated Ugie Ewére to usher peace into the land and homes.

Ikponmwosa Ugiagbe reports that during the ceremony, celebrants move from house to house offering the Ewére leaves, which symbolizes appeasement of nature for peace.
