In a renewed effort to curb obstetric fistula and promote women’s reproductive health, the National Obstetric Fistula Centre, NOFIC Benin, in partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, has launched a maiden free medical outreach at the NUJ Press Centre, Benin City.
Ofure Anetor reports that journalists, health professionals, and experts attended the outreach for free screenings, medical consultations, and awareness sessions focused on the prevention and early intervention of obstetric fistula.
