Uncovered and damaged manholes continue to pose safety risks to motorists and pedestrians across major roads in Benin City, raising concerns over road safety and public infrastructure management.

Some of the affected manholes were previously repaired but later dismantled by suspected scavengers, leaving deep openings exposed along busy routes.
