A 55-year-old man, Mr. Peters Omokaro, has raised an outcry following the demolition of his fence and neighbouring buildings in Oben Community along Sapele Road, Benin City.
Wellington Akodeja reports that Mr. Omokaro claims to have legitimately purchased the land several years ago from Oben Community, where he built his home. However, recent actions by individuals asserting ownership of the land resulted in the demolition of his fence and those of his neighbours.
