Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has inaugurated the reconstituted Kano Council of Emirs led by Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, alongside the Emirs of Gaya, Karaye, and Rano.
The ceremony marks a major turning point in the history of the Kano Emirate following the signing of the Kano Emirates Council (Repeal) Bill 2024, which abolished the five-emirate structure created by the previous administration.
