The law firm of Idahosa and Idahosa has issued a public notice on behalf of the Odionwere of Isiovbekhe village, Pa Richard Oghafua, Mr Edebor Edomwonyi and Mr Ukponma Omorodion warning potential land buyers and developers about the illegal sale of communal lands in Isiovbekhe village, Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State.
A statement signed by the solicitors to the Odionwere of Isiovbekhe village, Pa Richard Oghafua, Idahosa Moses Osato Esquire says unauthorized individuals are selling the communal lands without authority, putting prospective buyers at risk of losing their investments.
The statement cautioned that anyone dealing with individuals outside of the designated authorities, namely the Odionwere Richard, Mr Edebor Edomwonyi the secretary and Mr Ukponma Omorodion the Okaighele does so at their own risk.
According to the notice, the communal lands in question are delineated in survey plan No. EGS ED 2522 and exclusively belong to the Isiovbekhe community.
Prospective land developers are advised to contact the Odionwere or the secretary for updates on the status of the lands to avoid falling victim to unscrupulous elements.
