The Independent National Electoral Commission has issued certificates of return to the Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
The certificates were presented to them by the Supervising INEC National Commissioner in charge of Anambra State election, Kenneth Ikeagu, on Tuesday, in Awka, two days after Soludo and his deputy were declared winners of the poll.
Professor Soludo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the November 6, 2021 election, was declared the winner of the keenly contested poll on Sunday.
He polled 112,229 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Valentine Ozigbo, who scored 53,807 votes, while the candidate of the Young Progressives Party, Ifeanyi Ubah, garnered 21,261 votes to place third.
