The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Anambra State fully prepared for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
The announcement followed a week-long readiness assessment tour conducted by a high-level delegation from the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation, led by National Commissioner for Election Planning and Monitoring, Rhoda Gumus, completed an extensive review of facilities, logistics, and security arrangements across the state.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission has extended the ongoing collection of Permanent Voter Cards in Anambra State.
The decision followed appeals from citizens and stakeholders seeking more time for eligible voters to collect their cards ahead of the November 8, 2025, governorship election.
