It is no longer news that the Edo State Government has officially banned illegal revenue collections by groups such as the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Professional Drivers on Wheels, and Atalakpa Recovery Venture.
This directive prohibits these unions from collecting levies from motorists, drivers, traders, or any member of the public within the state.
To gauge the impact of this government directive, our correspondent, Joy Obarisiagbon, went out into the streets to find out if the ban has been fully enforced.
