Nigeria’s premier private University, Igbinedion University, Okada, has announced the appointment of Mr. Ahola Orgeh as its new Registrar.

A statement by the Deputy Director, Public Relations, Igbinedion University, Mr. Lucky Eboho-Onokwe says Mr. Orgeh succeeds Friday Benji Bakare, Esquire, whose tenure recently ended.

According to the statement, Mr. Orgeh brings extensive administrative experience to his new role, having served as Deputy Registrar at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi; Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State; and Benue State University, Makurdi.

He previously worked at Igbinedion University as a senior executive in the Registry Division early in his career.

The new Registrar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Ibadan.

Mr. Orgeh is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FCAI) and a member of several other professional bodies, including the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administration (ANUPA), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA).

Mr. Orgeh, who hails from Adim-Akpa in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, will assume duties on the first of July, 2025.
