A member of the Edo State House of Assembly has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in Benin City. The lawmaker, Hon. Uyi Frank Omosigho, representing Oredo East Constituency, announced his defection at the Secretariat of Oredo Ward 1.
The move, which further weakens the PDP’s presence in the House of Assembly, attracted members of the Eighth Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Osawonyi Atu, alongside other legislators, party leaders, councillors, and supporters.
