The families of Binkola and Oyarekhua have announced the passing of Hajia Marietu Omone Binkola, née Oyarekhua, who died at the age of 66.
According to family sources, the sad event occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
She has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
Hajia Marietu Binkola is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister whose life reflected deep faith and commitment to family values.
A Fidau prayer in her honour is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at her residence, located at No. 6A Evbuowan Street, off Omoragbon Agho Street, Etete, GRA, Benin City.
She is survived by her children: Engineer Osemobo Bello, Mr. Saeed Binkola, and Miss Jemila Binkola, Esq., as well as several siblings, including Hajia Hadiza Oyarekhua, Nasiru Oyarekhua, Princess Habiibah Oyeghe Oyarekhua, Mrs. Ramat Momoh, and Princess Munnet Oyarekhua.
Family members described her as a woman of grace whose legacy will continue to live on through her children and loved ones.
