The Faculty of Law, University of Benin (UNIBEN), cordially invites the general public to the 20th Justice Idigbe Memorial Lecture, scheduled for Friday, 20th February 2026.
In a statement signed by the Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Bright Bazuaye, the lecture, themed “Judicial Independence, Democracy, and the Rule of Law in Nigeria,” will be delivered by His Lordship, the Chief Judge of Edo State, Hon. Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa, under the distinguished chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN.
The Memorial Lecture will take place at the Akin Deko Auditorium, University of Benin, Ugbowo Campus, beginning promptly at 12:00 noon.
All members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
