Residents of Ewu Kingdom in Edo State have taken to the streets in a peaceful demonstration, calling on the Edo state government to intervene in a lingering royal leadership dispute.
The protest drew a large cross-section of the community, including chiefs, kingmakers, market women, and the Odionwele, known as the traditional head of the kingdom.
